Diving is an essential skill for underwater visual surveying and underwater excavation. For this reason, the HFF Lebanon chief diver Mario Kozaily runs multiple dive trainings every year. The HFF-Lebanon team, former scholars, and associated team members are regularly diving to update their skills and be ready when they are needed for fieldwork. The trainings include the following courses:

• Open Water
• Deep Diving
• Stress and Rescue
• React Right
• Enriched Air Nitrox
• Dry Suit
• Scientific Diver Training

Furthermore, every spring is also dedicated to teaching open water courses to MSCU students. They complete their training and obtain their certifications which will allow them to partake in underwater fieldwork should they wish to do so.
