Welcome to our new Social Media Officer
Social Media is now a well-established engagement tool in the world of maritime archaeology, allowing us to post and share updates, projects and newsworthy stories with our community of followers, as well as staying up to date with other advances in the field from around the world. The Foundation now has Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts for both the Foundation’s core activities as well as accounts for the HFF Lebanon Team, who are now also on Tiktok!
As the activities of the Foundation grow, and with one of our core objectives being to disseminate work in the field of maritime archaeology, we needed someone to help manage our Social Media platforms. In August 2022 we appointed Dr Dani Newman.
Dani graduated with a PhD in Archaeology from the University of Southampton in 2020. Her area of research is public engagement with maritime heritage, with a specific interest in how community archaeology, local datasets and oral histories can help create a more holistic interpretation of sites. Prior to joining the Foundation, Dani worked as the Education and Outreach Officer for the Black Sea MAP Project and as a Senior Community Archaeologist for CITiZAN.
We warmly welcome Dani to the HFF team, if you would like to get in touch about content for Social Media then email Dani on social@honorfrostfoundation.org, or send us a message on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
