Reference for an Honor Frost Foundation Research Grant
Please read this introduction carefully.
The HFF Grant Committee in its evaluation of the applications places great importance on your objective assessment. The construction of this assessment form follows the British Academy’s standard that has been designed to facilitate a structured response and consistent assessment of the relevant merits of the projects.
As a referee we ask you to prepare a supporting document that addresses the following headings:
- Indicates the importance and significance of the project.
- Assesses the ability of the applicant to effectively carry out the research proposal.
- Assesses the feasibility of the research programme covering any issues with methodology and timescale.
- Comments on the adequacy of the overall budget for the research proposal.
Having prepared this supporting document (ideally as a pdf. or Microsoft Word.doc NOT .docx format.) and clearly labelled it with your name, the project and applicants name, now please complete this brief online form and follow the instructions for attaching and sending your completed reference to us by the deadline provided by the grant applicant, for small grants this will be either the 1st April or 1st October, for larger grants this will be quarterly depending on the date of the trustee meetings, if you are unsure please check with the applicant.
