The Honor Frost Foundation conference series, Under the Mediterranean, was first held on the centenary of Honor Frost’s birth in 2017, and hosted in the country she was born, Cyprus. The conference brings together researchers and students in maritime archaeology with a focus on the Mediterranean, from shipwrecks and submerged landscapes, to harbours, ports and anchors, the conference highlights the wealth of archaeological material under the Mediterranean, and the advancing techniques being used to find, record and study these sites. 

The second Under the Mediterranean conference was held in Malta in 2022. Malta became Honor’s base as she worked across the region, and she even bought a second home here.
