Bursary to attend the NAS Course: Hulk Recording - 20th Feb

The Foundation is working with the Nautical Archaeology Society to fund up to five students or researchers to attend the online Hulk Recording Course on the 20th February 2021. Priority will be given to those from the HFF region (Cyprus, Lebanon, Egypt and Syria), however, participants from outside the region will also be considered so long as you can demonstrate that your current research interests are connected to the objectives of the Honor Frost Foundation.

Up to five HFF funded places are available on the course, in order to receive one of the funded places please complete the below application form by the 14th February. You will then be contacted by email to confirm whether your application is successful and your email address will be passed to the NAS to provide you with the attendance details.

  • Please note this bursary is aimed at supporting students and researchers from the HFF region, therefore nationals of Cyprus, Lebanon, Egypt and Syria will be given priority. However, others can apply so long as you can demonstrate that your current research interests are connected to the objectives of the Honor Frost Foundation (this should be demonstrated in the section below).
  • Please provide more information which amongst other things, demonstrates a strong interest and commitment to maritime archaeology, outlines why you should receive this support, indicating why you have chosen to take part in the online course and what benefit this brings you specifically as well as your potential peers. Spaces on these courses are limited so please provide enough information to help us determine whether this course will be beneficial to you and to your research/education.
