Terms and Conditions for Small Grant Award

 

Health and Safety protocol

As part of HFF’s policy for health and safety and liability, it is highly advised to fulfill the criteria below for projects that include diving at work:

  • A dive plan
  • A project risk assessment signed by all team members
  • A Diver Medical Questionnaire for all diving team members – addresses COVID-19 issues (see document)
  • Valid diving certificates of all diving team members whilst ensuring no team member dives deeper than the allowed depth
  • Valid diving insurance for all diving team members
  • A designated diving safety officer/chief diver who would oversee the safety of the equipment, the dive log, and overall diving operations
  • All dives must be undertaken in buddy pairs and surface within predetermined time scales/ air levels
  • Identifying the nearest hospital, hyperbaric chamber and first aid facilities, and how to get there
  • Informing diving team members of the emergency/first responders contact details
  • One or more diving team members must hold a Stress and Rescue certificate, as well as a First-aid, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and O2 provider certificate
  • The diving platform (boat or other) must hold an AED and Oxygen Medical Kit and a First-aid kit
