Currently, I am a PhD candidate at the University of Aix-Marseille with a scholarship from the Honor Frost Foundation. The PhD will be a joint degree between the National University of Athens and Aix-Marseille University at the framework of CIVIS. My doctoral research proposes the systematic archaeological documentation of the southern part of the Syrian coastline from Arwad Island to Tabbat Al-Hammam. The study will involve coastal and underwater interdisciplinary fieldwork, with subsequent GIS analysis of all published and collected data.
After graduation from Damascus University, the Faculty of Architecture, since 2014, I am permanently employed at the Directorate General of Antiquities and Museums (DGAM) of the Syrian Ministry of Culture, responsible for the documentation of archaeological sites. Besides, I worked as a Lecturer of Architectural Design at the University of Lattakia.
