The Honor Frost Foundation is pleased to support the UNESCO UNITWIN Network on Underwater Archaeology “Workshop on Underwater Archaeology for the African Countries” (13 – 23 May 2015 Kemer / Antalya – Turkey) by providing part funding for delegates to attend.
The “UNESCO UNITWIN Workshop on Underwater Archaeology for the African Countries” will aim at establishing an understanding of underwater cultural heritage among government heritage officials and archaeologists of the invited African countries. It will also promote the use of the scientific standards settled by the international community in the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage. It shall moreover provide the basis for effective collaboration and co-operation among the African region and beyond. Upon completion of the different parts of the course, the participants will receive a certification.
